something i appreciate abt movies is that one of its elemental goals is to provide the viewer emotional resolution by the end of its 120 min, versus television, by the nature of its format, is mostly based upon uncertainty, tension, egging you on to watch the next episode or season. resolution is more supplementary to tv- its just more about the exploration instead. theres obviously value in both formats but i feel like film’s promise of satisfaction and completion is underrated
